The journey so far ...

Earlier this year, I had a choice to make. The Kickstarter for Game On! Media was going great. In fact, we reached our goal around the midway point of the campaign. However, my day job at the Las Vegas Review-Journal informed me that I was not allowed to produce the magazine on the side.

I had to decide between chasing a dream of mine or playing it safe. Obviously, you know what I chose. I haven't regretted that choice for a single second.

It hasn't been without challenges.

I have been on the hunt for a "day job" to help pay the bills as Game On! Magazine grows.

The gaming journalism landscape, much like the gaming industry, is going through some troubling times. Outlets like Game Informer were unceremoniously closed. IGN Entertainment bought a number of gaming sites. It seems that our choices for gaming journalism continues to decrease precisely when it should be increasing.

There are so many amazing gaming journalists out there. If you find one that you like, please consider supporting them. I get that the journalism world has become muddied. But there are essential stories that need to be told all around the world.

I'm proud of the work Game On! Magazine has produced so far. The latest issue focused on voice acting and artificial intelligence. I did my best to present the story in a comprehensive and easy to understand way. I know that Game On! Magazine's work is just getting started. There are more stories coming on some of the biggest issues facing the gaming and esports industries.

Thank you for all of your encouragement and support. I hope that the work I produce is worthy of your time and attention and I will do my best to make each issue even better than the last.
